Create a mouse craft with your child inspired by one of our favorite picture books, Mouse Count! This activity focuses on fine motor skills and retelling the story as you create it.

Mouse Craft for Kids
We’re having some sewing and counting fun!
Materials for Mouse Craft
- 2 Paper Plates
- String or ribbon
- Googly eyes
- Paper for nose
- Glue
- Hole puncher
- Printable Mouse Counting Game
Directions for Mouse Craft
Using the paper plates create a Mouse Body with one and two mouse ears with the other one.
Once your mouse shape has been created take the Hole puncher and evenly punch around the edges to create a place to sew around the mouse.
You can do this as an adult younger children but for older children encourage them to do it, it’s great for building up the fine motor skills!
Then have your child take the string and sew around the mouse.
Add your Ear, Nose and Eyes with glue and allow to dry.
