Fizz, Pop, Bang! Playful Science and Math Activities
I am very excited to collaborate with a team of phenomenal parents and teachers to write Fizz, Pop, Bang! Playful Science and Math Activities. Pinterest, but it is a bit of a time suck. 30 minutes after hopping on to find math activities for my preschooler, I end up pinning cute wall hangings for my office (totally side tracked!) and still don’t have the activities I was hoping to find.
The book is packed with ideas, all do-able, inspiring and really encouraging – especially I think to parents/teachers who might think they themselves aren’t good at maths or science. It really shows just how accessible these subjects are, and how natural they can be to children. AND – you do not have to spend hours on Pinterest trying to find awesome ways to make math and science fun for your little learners.
Not only that, but as a teacher, this book ROCKS. When I first read the other activities, I thought…
- “Ooh, I want to do that one.”
- “WOW, that’s cool.”
- “YES! My son would LOVE that!”
I must have been a little excited, because my 8 year old came over to see what I was reading. She joined in…
- “Oooh, can we do that one now?”
- “That’s soooo cool!”
- “Does that really work?”
