We are thrilled to bring you a unique program that introduces language to your children through an app! You know I am a big pinterest fan and am always looking for resources to help my children learn a new language. One evening I ran across this adorable Pin from Gus on the Go’s Pinterest Board and thought immediately that I had to find out about this program.
This adorable pin brought me to a page full of FREE printables for learning another language. BIG WIN in my books! Anytime you can make learning hands on with kids they will learn faster and with all 3 printable options they are achieving that! Numbers, Clothing, Animals and soon Transportation! In Several different languages including Spanish, French, Hindi, German, Russian, Chinese, Hebrew, Korean, and 7 MORE!
After playing with our printables I knew I had to check out the program so I reached out to the owners, Alice and Yono, and asked if I could review their product for them to share with my readers and Bilingual Babies Pinterest Followers, did you know we have over 1 Million? I was so thrilled when they allowed me to review their product.
Here’s a video that shares how interactive and fun their program is!
Here’s a little background about Gus on the Go
Gus on the Go was created by two friends who share a mutual love for language and the desire to create the necessary tools for their own children to embrace those languages. Geared towards kids aged 2-6, the Gus on the Go language app series teaches young children the basic concepts of 14 languages with exciting visual and auditory lessons on numbers, colors, shapes and more!
Now available on the App Story and Google Play in 14 languages including Spanish, French, Mandarin and more!
Complete Lesson Review that Unlock new Games (6 in all) that they
The 10 lessons are fun and interactive and make you want to return to check out the next option!
Did you see this adorable owl Gus? Ok, confessoin we have a slight obsession with Owls at The Educators’ Spin On It so Gus is probably what caught my eye, to begin with but the kids love following him into a variety of games to play.
A big selling point for me is that the quality of sound is created by native speakers. In fact Alice shared with me that she’s working with a client at the moment to create their Hindi version. YEAH, can’t wait!
Learning a new Langauge Anytime, Anywhere!
Plus the best part of this program is that it’s for on the go too. When you start to really think about how many times you have 5 to 10 minutes to spare and if your child could be working on learning a new language during that time of transition think how quickly they would learn. Think about the car pick-up line, waiting at a restaurant, road trips, airplane rides, and doctors appointments, you get the picture of so many opportunities!

I'm trying to expose my daughter to French and Hindi. I learned at an early age that early and age-appropriate exposure really helps keep a child involved in learning, rather than it be something imposed on them.

I've studied French and German and lived in Bulgaria and my husband knows Japanese. He ends up using a lot more Japanese with the kids and they are all excited to visit Japan some day. I would love to expose them more to French or German 🙂

It would be hard for me to choose between French (my favorite) or Spanish (probably more needed). I love owls, too! This App looks really neat!

Cool! I will need to check this out and send it along to my sister too. Her daughter is doing an immersion spanish program next year and I'm sure she'd love to try this out.
