Monster math games can be a lot of fun for kids. Here are a few creative ways to learn with a monster at home or school.
We’ve been working on Math Facts at our house a little bit more recently. Multiplication needs tons of repetition to be memorized. It also needs a bit of hands on and visual fun to make it concrete and unforgettable.
Here’s how we incorporated monsters and math at our house.
Monster Multiplication: A Fun Math Facts Game
Materials
- Monster Printable Cards {{Print here}
- Playdough
- Googly Eyes
- Packaging Tape or Clear Contact Paper
Directions
- Print out Monster Number Cards
- Cover with packaging tape or clear contact paper
- Create monsters with Playdough
- Attach eyes to make it look like a monster
- Select two cards from the Pile and MULTIPLY
- Using playdough create balls of dough to match the answer “Monsters Mulitply!”
- Repeat with new cards to create new Monster Math Fact answers
