Teaching your child about Recycling
Reuse a large container to keep lids in for your child. It helps to get your child involved with recycling in your home. You’ll be surprised how they start to look for reusable lids in everything. When you’re all done with the lid, don’t forget to RECYCLE it!

(As with all small items with Children under 3, lids should only be used under direct adult supervision. The rule at our house for older siblings is that items that can fit in a toilet paper tube are choking hazards.)
You can collect lids from everything. Laundry detergent, milk, juice, sauces lids …the list goes on. Then you have more colors and sizes. I got the foam papers once…which were all colors and let the kids sort them by color. You can also make homemade checker boards…..

Thanks! I'm sure there are lots of other ideas too and I hope to create some more as we love those organic fruit/veggie mixes too for on the go. You'd be surprised how many Kindergarten Lunch boxes I see with them at school too.

Thanks Vicky for pinning! I saved them only because of big sister's intereset in them. I was thinking this would be a great sibling craft in school, having bigger kids bring in lids from baby and toddler food containers. What a variety you could collect for a classroom or playgroup. Altought I see lots of Kindergarten lunch boxes with them still. Great way to get in those veggies and fruits.
Ask around, you never know there may be a friend or neighbor who used them with a small baby and doesn't have the need for them just yet since the pieces are too tiny for babies. We have purple milk caps that are lots of fun to build and paint with too.

Such fun ideas! Makes me want to go out and buy all those squeezable pouches in all different colors just to try some of these ideas, all of ours are "milk cap blue" :/
