Connecting Libraries On Pinterest

Libraries are such a valuable tool for all. The amount of resources available in a library to parents and teachers is pretty amazing. One trend that is happening is that libraries are extending their resources to sharing them on Pinterest.

Is your library on Pinterest?

Connecting with Libraries on Pinterest

Pinterest truly is a place for everyone. One topic I want to bring attention to is libraries on Pinterest.

Are you following your local library on Pinterest?

For the past few years I’ve been looking for literacy resources to share with you for our Reading Activities Pinterest Board, Love Books Picture Books and Activities Pinterest Board, and the Virtual Book Club for Kids Pinterest Board.

Plus I’ve been sharing pins for KidLit. TV on their Pinterest boards for teachers, and parents and even a few pins for authors and illustrators. Are you following KidLit TV on Pinterest? {click here to follow}

I’ve come across some really great libraries using Pinterest for their community. I’ve found however at times it’s hard to find and look through all of the library’s Pinterest accounts and I would love your help.

If your favorite library has a Pinterest account that you love,  can you share the link with me?

The American Library Association will be sharing the Youth Media Awards. You can watch the event live here and even join the YMA Pajama Party.

Each year the American Library Association honors books, videos, and other outstanding materials for children and teens. Recognized worldwide for the high quality they represent, the ALA Youth Media Awards, including the prestigious Newbery, Caldecott, Printz, and Coretta Scott King Book Awards, guide parents, educators, librarians, and others in selecting the best materials for youth.

Librarians and other literature and media experts form committees that select these prestigious awards. The awards encourage original and creative work in the field of children’s and young adult literature and media.
