After School Snack Time and Game Tray Ideas for Siblings

A fun twist on after-school snack time for your child. Here are a few game Ideas for making your own after-school snack and activity tray.

Game Tray Ideas for Snack Time with Goldfish

I’m sharing how my girls and I head outdoors for snack time with Goldfish® Puffs as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #GoldfishTales.

One thing I’ve discovered about my after-school time with my kids is that they do best when I plan things out a bit for them. My oldest comes home from school from third grade and my 4 year old can’t wait for her to come home and start playing.

First things first though is snack time. Goldfish® crackers are often a popular choice in our house when we want to add a little adventure to my kids’ snack time.

I thought it might be fun to surprise them with a snack called Goldfish Puffs! Setting up the afternoon snack time was a lot of fun. The weather has been gorgeous so I thought we should head outdoors and take advantage.

We tossed out a large quilt that we use for these types of outdoor adventures and we were all set. The girls couldn’t wait to see what was planned for the afternoon’s snack and game time.

We have a few trays that we keep set up for afternoon game time and snack time. The tray for the afternoon I filled up with Goldfish Puffs, a new surprise that are gluten free with bold flavor!

Then I added a bowl for portion control with the kids. They taste so yummy I’m pretty sure they would eat the whole bag if I didn’t.

I grabbed a couple of bottles of water for our snack-time adventure since I figured they’d run around and get thirsty too.

Here are a few more tips for keeping kids hydrated.

Next, add a game to your tray. Sometimes we bring a special stuffed animal or favorite doll as well for imaginary play. Add in a few good books to read together for afternoon storytime under the trees and you’ve got a great afternoon ahead of you!

What game would you add to the tray?

The girls had such a blast playing the game and snacking on their Goldfish Puffs. The new snack option was a big hit. You’ve gotta love a snack time that brings a smile to your kids’ faces.

I can imagine this kid’s snack being a big hit at our next after-school get together with friends too. Goldfish Puffs are also easy to bring at park play dates for friends to share.
