Birthday Gift Ideas for Three Years Old

Finding gifts for a three years old is a lot of fun as you watch their imagination and skills grow in such a short amount of time.  This is a fun year filled with lots of “I did it!”  Three year old spend a lot of time observing, listening and imitating things in their environment.

We’re here to help you finding the right gifts for your 3 year!  This is the year you will see their ability to play with their imagination quite a bit.  So be sure to have your play kitchen set up for fun and then incorporate a variety of themes as the months pass this year. Adding a few dress-up clothes to your play can be lots of fun this year! Hats and vests can be a lot of fun with various themes.  Here are a few toys to encourage make believe play.

Building Toys for 3 Years Old 

Building at this age can be so much fun.  Finding items that are open ended with ways to build is important.  Legos, Blocks, Wooden Trains are 3 of my top picks for this age that will last for years to come.

Learning Toys for 3 year old 


In the 3rd year we encourage our children to explore Letters, Numbers, Shapes and Colors. Be sure to have a few select items available for your child to use during playtime.  Puzzles, floor puzzles, magnetic letters,  and lacing items can be a fun was to introduce these concepts to your child.  Here’s a few of my favorites!

Toys for Big Movements with 3 Year old 

Three year old love to feel that they can accomplish tasks at hand and be a big kid!  Giving a gift for a big kid can be so much fun.  An art easel, T-Ball Set and even their first bicycle are all things that can be a confidence booster for your child and hours of fun!

    Emma I couldn't agree more, this is a fun age for pretending! They finally really get it and enjoy doing it often with play and even sometimes with their an siblings friends now too.
