We’re having so much fun in BUG WEEK as part of our Virtual Book Club Summer Camp!

Today is Eric Carle’s Birthday so in honor of him and one very hungry caterpillar it’s time for some Caterpillar fun!

We created a fun and simple math game using lids!

It’s works perfect for siblings too.  You can adjust the level of difficulty with the little ones you can work on one to one correspondence and number recognition and your older ones you can work on their math facts!

Caterpillar Math Game with Lids

  1. Gather your lids
  2. Create a caterpillar mat
  3. Print out these caterpillar number cards {PRINT HERE}
  4. Play!

    It's always fun when you can create something using recycling. I remember buying an entire book of games for school when I was teaching using recycling. Most of it was variations on using lids.

    Great activity!! I love when I can do an activity with both my toddler and my preschooler. I love these colorful lids too.
