We are finally starting to get into the routine of school again at our house with both kids in school and now looking for things to do after school. Making sure that homework is established in a good routine is one of our big focuses for our after school schedule. How is your school routine going?
This past week was Open House at school. Now we are starting to select which After School Programs to participate in. This year my daughter who’s in 4th grade has the chance to be a part of chorus at her Elementary School which she is so excited about. She will also be doing a program called Girls on the Run. I’m looking forward to choosing some Fall Activities to do with her in the windows of time we have together after school.
What programs do you have available at your child’s school after school?

Last week’s After School Linky Party
Those sounds like wonderful programmes – we're having swimming lessons, as well as Scouts after school this year for my 2nd grader.
Our Open House is this week. There are a lot of after school options offered at our school which is great, but it can be so hard to choose! So far we've seen cooking classes, acting, art, karate, yoga and more. My oldest asked to do yoga, and she's starting her first class today. My youngest couldn't decide between dance and soccer, so she opted to take dance this semester and try soccer in the spring.
Oh, we love Girls on the Run. we do them every year and have so much fun at the end of season run.
Swimming and Scouts sounds like such fun Cerys!
It is hard to choose and balance with play time after school and homework time and family time. Yoga and dance both sounds like a perfect choice to explore and help your daughter build self awareness and confidence.
My daughter enjoyed it quite a lot this past year so we are doing it again. Big brother who's 22 did the run with her at the end which made the event even more special for her.
